PTDF probe: Atiku to present 72 documents against Obasanjo

Vice President Atiku Abubakar will today present 72 documents against President Olusegun Obasanjo before the senate adhoc committee investigating the activities of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Vice President Atiku Abubakar will today present 72 documents against President Olusegun Obasanjo before the senate adhoc committee investigating the activities of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

This is coming at a time the adhoc committee has extended by two days the public hearing on PTDF.
Daily Sun gathered that the documents Atiku will present would expose Obasanjo's dealings in the PTDF.

Others expected to testify before the committee are the Managing Director of Spring Bank and other bank executives.
Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Malam Nuhu Ribadu and former PTDF boss, Adamu Maina Waziri had claimed, in their testimonies before the committee, that Spring Bank used PTDF money to recapitalize during banks' consolidation exercise.

Meanwhile, there are strong indication that the committee may summon Otunba Oyewole Fasawe to appear before it. Although no date has been fixed for Fasawe's appearance, sources close to the committee told Daily Sun in Abuja that the decision to invite him may have been informed by the presentation made by the EFCC boss last Friday, where he claimed, among other things, that Fasawe and the vice president used the defunct Trans-International Bank (TIB) and Equatorial Trust Bank (ETB) to 'steal" PTDF's money.
